Mission Sustainability

For our project we have converted the Michigan Central Station into a sustainable social nerve center. Unity, pride and efficiency are our goals. It houses a mass transit hub, which reduces carbon emissions, and is a venue for social/cultural events. Alternative energy and rain water conservation are implemented.

Monetary issues and negative attitudes are a few obstacles. Including the community during developmental stages will help counter such hurdles.

As Designers, we have a responsibility to use our talents to inspire constructive thinking through space, pushing beyond individualism to benefit communities. Our project should spark a discourse, inciting a mutual effort toward positive problem solving, encouraging a genesis of valuable solutions. www.TristasTokens.com/greenbauhaus
